About
From dusk till dawn: The notorious Gekko Brothers, Seth and Richard, are on the run and headed for Mexico to meet with the mysterious "Carlos." Their simple bank robbery ended up killing multiple Texas Rangers. They hijack the mobile home of Minister Jacob Fuller and his family to ensure their safe passage. Their appointed destination is a neon-covered topless bar catering to bikers and truckers who've wandered off the beaten path. Everything seems fine until the bar's staff, band, and patrons turn out to be vampires!
Full-tilt boogie: A full-length "making of" documentary that was theatrically released. Unlike most such docs, name actors are interviewed, but are only rarely the focus of the film. This film is about the assistant directors, the personal assistants, the grips, the people from craft services, the drivers--indeed, the vast unseen bulk of the iceberg that supports the average film production. There are also disasters: the exterior facade for the Titty Twister burned down, shooting was halted by dust storms, and the threat of union action over Rodriguez's choice to shoot with a non-union crew. In the end, the last scene has the crew giving each other rounds of hugs after wrapping the last shot is as sentimental as a family reunion, testament to why films--for all the difficulty--continue to be made.
From dusk till dawn 2, Texas blood money: Five criminals gather to pull off a heist in Mexico. On the way to their place of rendezvous, one of them wanders into the wrong bar, and crosses the wrong vampire. One by one, the thieving cohorts develop a taste for blood to match their hunger for money.
From dusk till dawn 3, The hangman's daughter: "Outlaw Johnny Madrid is on the run from the hangman... with the hangman's sensuous daughter Esmerelda by his side. Along with Madrid's gang, Johnny and Esmerelda embark on an adventure that leads them straight into the fight of their lives."--disc jacket.
